I have worked in education for 19 years, and have been involved with St Thomas' Pre-School for the past 12 years, as both a parent and a member of staff.  It is a privilege to work with such a committed and passionate staff team who care deeply not just for every one of our children but for all their families too.

  • Designated Safeguarding Lead

  • Health and Safety Officer

I have worked with children and families for more than 20 years working in various early years settings and children’s centres.

At Preschool I am the deputy manager - I have responsibility for all aspects of health and safety in preschool, and I am one of the designated safeguarding officers.

I love to see how much the children enjoy their time at pre-school, and I enjoy being a part of helping them to develop as they learn and grow in confidence.

I have been an Early Years Teacher for over 25 years, starting at the International School of Bilbao in Spain teaching the First Grade. Among my previous work experience in this country are 22 years at local primary schools including Morecambe Road School and 19 years teaching in Reception and Year One.

I believe first and foremost to respect and appreciate each child’s uniqueness and learning style and that my role as Curriculum Leader is to provide learning opportunities that will engage the children in active learning.

I am also the Health Champion for preschool and you can talk to me about any concerns regarding your child's health and development.
